DUAL MEDIA FILTERS

Optimus Dual Media Filter is a layered bed of Anthracite and sand media. A Dual Media Filter is primarily used for the removal of turbidity and suspended solids as low as 10-30 microns. Dual Media Filters provide very efficient suspended and turbid particle removal under the conditions of high filtration rate.

A dual media filter consists of pressure vessel fitted with necessary piping and valves. Internally, the Dual Media Filter is fitted with an inlet distributor and a bottom collecting system. Externally, the system is fitted with frontal pipe work including manually operated valves. Finely graded Sand is used to remove the suspended particles and anthracite is used to remove the odor and color etc. to make the water fit for different applications. Gravels and pebbles are provided to support to both the media. Periodically, the Dual Media Filter require backwash by reversing the water flow through the Dual Media Filter.

ACTIVATED CARBON FILTERS

Activated Carbon Filter is primarily used for the removal of free Chlorine, Microorganism, and Organic Matter through adsorption. Organic contaminants are mostly responsible for taste, odour & colour which will be adsorbed by Activated Carbon. ACF are one of the only low-cost methods available to remove low molecular weight (<100MW) organics and chlorine.

Activated Carbon Filter consists of pressure vessel fitted with necessary piping and valves. Internally, the ACF is fitted with an inlet distributor and a bottom collecting system. Externally, the system is fitted with frontal pipe work including manually operated valves. High Grade Activated Carbon of Higher Iodine Value is used to used to remove the chlorine, odor and color etc. to make the water fit for different applications. Gravels and pebbles are provided to support to the media. Periodically, the ACF require backwash by reversing the water flow through the Bed.

IRON REMOVAL FILTERS

In water, presence of iron and manganese has always been a matter of concern. It causes unpleasing taste, odor and staining, which is not accepted in most of applications in domestic use as well as commercial and industrial use; therefore, oxidation filtration often knows as iron removal process is employed to remove naturally occurring iron and manganese from water. The process through which iron is removed from water is known as Oxidation Filtration that involves the oxidation of the soluble forms of iron (Fe) and manganese (Mn) to their insoluble forms i.e. precipitates and is then captured by the particle filtration capacity of the medium.

ARSENIC REMOVAL FILTERS

Arsenic a very harmful contaminant is removed by using two media in a single filtration vessel. A vessel comprising iron removal media bed and then arsenic removal media bed is used for arsenic removal. Iron removal media oxides iron and also arsenic III to V, which then easily gets oxidized in lower bed. The arsenic media gets exhausted after the designed cycle and then it requires replacement.

FLUORIDE REMOVAL SYSTEM

Fluoride specific media to remove fluoride from the raw water is used. A vessel comprising media and retaining pebbles and gravels is fed with raw water. The fluoride specific media retains the fluorides on its exchangeable sites. After exhaustion of all the sites, the media is again regenerated and made ready to use for next fluoride removal cycle.

DISINFECTION SYSTEMS

1.CHLORINE DOSING PUMPS

An electro-magnetic metering pump is used to dose liquid chlorine in the form of Sodium Hypochlorite in the required and regulated dosage to kill bacteria/micro-organisms.

2.ULTRA-VIOLET SYSTEMS

We provide specialty low to medium pressure ultra-violet system for application varying from drinking purposes to high purity application, total organic carbon reduction, de-ozonation etc.

3.OZONATORS

On specific requirement, we can provide ozone generator for disinfection of water for varying requirements.
